The Core Team
Tom Marshall-Andrews
Tom is the inventor of Powerchute. He has a degree in Product Design & Engineering and a postgraduate degree in 3D modelling. Most recently, he had 3 children which is where he realised the need for a practical, child-friendly battery charger.
He ran a successful 3D modelling and web development company with a range of clients from individuals to multi-nationals. He took the opportunity during the business lull of covid to pursue Incharge, which is now a passion.
Richard Luxton
Richard is a chartered mechanical engineer and industrial designer graduated from the Royal Collage of Art with over 25 years of experience, including working for blue-chip companies such as Gillette and P&G.
For the past 10 years he has been working as a consultant to SME’s to bring concepts through to manufacturing and scoring 2 Red Dot design awards along the way. His end-to-end experience in bringing a product to market makes him an ideal lead for the technical team.

Partick Fraser B.SC
Patrick is a senior marketing and communications specialist with 20 years experience. Extensive experience in driving business growth, brand strategy and brand building. Adept at devising and delivering award winning integrated campaigns. PR, social and crisis comms specialist.
Patrick’s most recent position was a Director of Grayling UK with nine offices in the UK and 32 offices around the world.
Development
Incharge was developed by Tom and Richard in collaboration with electronic design Ignitec Electronics UK and mould tooling support from Protolabs UK.
We have 2 function-critical patents and are ready for production.

Awards

We were awarded a Smart Grant from Innovate UK which is given to less than 7% of applicants and allowed us to do the development and bring us to a manufacturable product.
Prototype
